What we mean by “all people are welcome,”
.......... single, twice divorced, under 30, gay, filthy rich, black and proud,
poor as dirt, can’t sing, no habla ingles, married with pets, older than God,
more Catholic than the Pope, workaholic, bad speller, screaming babies,
three-times divorced, passive-aggressive, obsessive
compulsive, tourists, seekers, doubters, bleeding hearts….. and YOU!
OUR MISSION
Inspired by our faith in Jesus Christ, the example of St. Francis of Assisi, and the life of St. Katharine Drexel we actively WELCOME all people.
We WORSHIP God through prayerful and inspiring liturgies, the celebration of the Sacraments, and the devotional life of the Roman Catholic Church.
We WITNESS to our faith by ministering to everyone, especially those who are poor, alienated or oppressed.
ABOUT OUR CHURCH
St. Katharine Drexel Parish formed in October 2007 with the joining of St. Agnes, St. Francis of Assisi, and Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary parishes which had been located in the Lovejoy area of Buffalo. The parish is founded on the site of the former St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Rev. James M. Monaco was the first pastor of this parish family.
